The school governing board is a component of the education reform and came into being with the establishment of linguistic school boards in 1998. Comprised of an elected chair, vice-chair, and secretary as well as parents, administrators, teachers, and student representatives, the governing board is a parent-school partnership that works towards the primary goal of making decisions that benefit our students. Every member has the same goal, which is to promote student success.
The governing board is not involved with the day-to-day running of the school but works with the school principal in setting and implementing policy direction for programs and services that will meet the needs of the students and the community.
